Sponsorship and Support

THE VICTORIA FALLS BOXING ACADEMY OWES A GREAT DEBT OF GRATITUDE TO THE FOLLOWING PEOPLE.:TOBIAS MUPOSIWA – Founder, Coach, boxer and humanitarian.  Tobias never gave up his dream of having a boxing club, giving disadvantaged kids the opportunity to participate in a healthy activity and have a sense of ‘family’  Tobias has managed to keep his dream alive despite the odds – facing economic melt downs, no work opportunities, no equipment or training facilities and very limited funding.  He has made this all happen.  Part of his dream is to one day have a High Performance Boxing Academy with accommodation, family and education for some of Zimbabwe’s disadvantaged, but extremely talented young boxers.  We have no doubt this will happen!  THE VICTORIA FALLS ACADEMY TRUST – Ian Gloss, Faruk Karim, Andrew Lane, Obert Sibanda - who over the past 5 years managed to assist with funding/support for the Academy and for these youngsters to compete around the country. MARK VALENTINE – For his extreme generosity in donating a fully equipped boxing gym to The Victoria Falls Boxing Academy Trust.  His enthusiasm and participation in this process has been beyond anything imagined.  He has been up and down between Victoria Falls, designing the layouts, swinging from the rafters putting in lights/fans etc.,  trawling through the township markets for items of interest to make the gym authentic, to training with the kids, travelling to Bulawayo to support them in the Champion of Champions tournament (which they won their bouts) and much, much more.  The Academy and Zimbabwe boxing in general owes this one individual a debt of extreme gratitude.  THE JAFUTA FOUNDATION is proud to have played a part in this incredible story and will continue to support the Victoria Falls Boxing Academy in their quest to produce the best, and bring our youngsters in off the street and give them hope!  “You can do what I cannot do. I can do what you cannot do. Together we can do great things.” – Mother TeresaTogether we have done great things and will continue to do even more!
